√ Banana Nut Bread Recipe with buttermilk

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup butter or shortening
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 2 eggs
  4. 21/2 cups flour sifted
  5. 1 cup chopped nuts
  6. 3 large bananas put through a sieve about a 11/2 cups
  7. 1/2 teaspoons soda
  8. 2 teaspoons baking powder
  9. 3/4 teaspoons salt
  10. 1/2 cup buttermilk

Steps

  1. Cream the shortening slowly add the sugar and beat well  
  2. Add the eggs one at a time beat thoroughly  
  3. Add the bananas and nuts  
  4. Alternately add the dry ingredients and the milk  
  5. Pour into large loaf pan or 2 small ones  
  6. Bake at 350 for 1 hour
